ARTIST STATEMENT
In 1983 I began hand painting dinosaur tee shirts for my young boys. The shirts became very popular and I was soon selling them at juried craft shows around Upstate New York. As the children matured the designs they requested expanded to include whales, outer space, dragons, and other mythical creatures.

 

In 1992 we moved to Singapore, added a daughter to our family, and traveled throughout Asia and Australia.  This is when my individual style began to show the influence of Chinese and Aboriginal art.

 

These influences combined with the organic flow I try to work into all my Art culminate in unique and whimsical creations.  After working for ten years hand painting clothing in brilliant and unique designs an injury forced me to temporarily stop painting on fabric.  I began developing my unique view into dramatic and highly visual graphic art. My art was originally developed for children but over the years the sales of adult wear has equaled sales for children.  To wear one of my up beat and whimsical designs is to truly wear art.
